Computer Science and Engineering (SOSO)

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is one of the highly preferred branches of study. The B. Tech program in Computer Science and Engineering was started in the year 2015 with an intake of 120. It is monikered as SOSO.

The curriculum emphasizes on problem solving skills in C programming, designing aspects, data structure and application-level thinking. Pattern recognition, data mining and machine learning, distributed systems and android application, operating systems and computer networks, computer security, and IOT computing.

PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOME (PSO)

• Professional Skills: The ability to understand, analyze and develop computer programs in the areas related to system software, multimedia, web design, big data analytics, and networking for efficient design of computer-based systems of varying complexity.
• Problem – Solving Skills: The ability to apply standard practices and strategies in software project development using open-ended programming environments to deliver a quality product for business success.
• Mathematical concepts: Ability to apply mathematical concepts to solve real world problems using appropriate data structure and suitable algorithms.

The Department is well equipped with the latest computers with modern multimedia features and Licensed software. The lab is used to train the students to improve their programming knowledge and make experiments to get familiar with the Core Courses. This lab helps placement cell to conduct online test and Placement training for students during placement drive.
